Everything you need to know
about blogs and the school blog
Ok - so we all find it hard keeping
up with the technology (adults I mean!) so if you're not quite sure
about The Blog! then read on and get informed.
What's a blog?
A
blog (weB LOG) is a website that provides a stream of articles (posts)
from one or more contributors - in our case the staff and pupils.
These can be any or a combination of the following, text, photos,
video and audio content.
So in a nutshell - if you check
out our blog you
should find lots of up to date content about what's been happening
in and involving the school - produced by the school for pupils
and parents.

What's the point?
A website tends to stay the same
every time you visit it, whereas a blog is arranged in a most recent
first format and will provide you with a constant stream of news
from and about the school. It also gives us a chance to allow the
pupils to directly publish their work to the internet and will become
a great resource in time.
How can I see it?
All
you need to do is click on over to the blog at http://brierleyschool.blogspot.com/
you don't need to sign up just have a good browse through the archived
pages which you'll find down the right hand side of the main page.
Comments?
Anyone can leave a comment against
one of the articles on the blog which if you've enjoyed what you've
seen or it's inspired you into doing something - it would be great
if you could leave a positive comment against it, the children will
be very pleased to know people are enjoying their hard work as your
comments will be able to be read by the children and future blog
visitors, however you will have to be patient if you leave a comment
as due to the nature of this project and children involved every
comment will be vetted by school staff before it is approved for
use on the blog - this is in everyone's best interest.
How to comment
If you do want to leave a comment
you still don't need to sign up for anything, simply find the comment
link at the bottom of the relevant article, click that and fill
in the comment form before submitting - it couldn't be simpler and
the children really will enjoy hearing your thoughts. Happy blogging!
