Out and About!

As part of our geography topic ‘Out and About’ Class SH went for a walk around Brierley and drew some of the features on the buildings we saw. When we got back to school we put the features on a map. What a lovely village we have!

Design Technology

Class SH enjoyed making Halloween crafts.  Look at how each of our items move with a lever.

A Wild Day Out!

Class SH had great fun at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We saw lots of different animals and some of us were even brave enough to touch them.

First-hand experience!

Class MB had  a fantastic day visiting Old Moor RSPB on 26th April 2017. We were scientific explorers for the day and went on a bug hunt in the woods, bird watching and pond dipping!

Choo! Choo!

Class MB had a visit from Mr Luty as part of our ‘People who help us’ topic. We learnt about how he fixes trains and drives them. All aboard!

NEE-NAA, NEE-NAA!

Class MB has had a visit from Firefighter Steve this morning as part of their ‘All about me’ topic. The children were ready to ask him lots of questions to find out more about his job. Mrs Biggs was lucky…she was voted to wear the firefighters’ clothes! Thank you Class MB!

We’re going on a bear hunt!

Class MB have been busy ‘exploring’ this half term. After reading the story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’, the children went on their own bear hunt!

Class MB working hard!

Here are a few photos of the learning that has taken place in our FS2 classroom during the pupils’ first half term at school!

Our learning has included: building bridges for the billy goats gruff, baking gingerbread man, writing in sand and magic foam whilst playing with our friends in all the different continuous provision areas. We are looking forward to learning and having more fun after our holiday when we begin our ‘Celebrations’ topic. Well done everyone for working so hard!
