History Detectives!

Class SH had a great time when they visited Conisbrough Castle. The children became ‘history detectives’ and found out what it would have been like to live in a medieval castle.

Competition time!

Mrs Gough’s and Mrs Hopkinson’s classes were representing school in the multi-skills competition at Netherwood Academy, the event consists of various sporting activities including running, throwing and jumping. Another stunning performance from our pupils  including a first place. Thank you everyone for your efforts, Brierley School is building quite a reputation for its achievements on the sports’ field!

Out and About!

As part of our geography topic ‘Out and About’ Class SH went for a walk around Brierley and drew some of the features on the buildings we saw. When we got back to school we put the features on a map. What a lovely village we have!

Design Technology

Class SH enjoyed making Halloween crafts.  Look at how each of our items move with a lever.

A Wild Day Out!

Class SH had great fun at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We saw lots of different animals and some of us were even brave enough to touch them.

Class MB had a visit from Mr Luty as part of our ‘People who help us’ topic. We learnt about how he fixes trains and drives them. All aboard!

NEE-NAA, NEE-NAA!

Class MB has had a visit from Firefighter Steve this morning as part of their ‘All about me’ topic. The children were ready to ask him lots of questions to find out more about his job. Mrs Biggs was lucky…she was voted to wear the firefighters’ clothes! Thank you Class MB!
