Class EF have been learning how to write effective instructions.

We were working in groups to create a set of instructions which included as many features as we could. This is in preparation for our BIG write on Friday.

Hello and welcome to Class EF (Year 3)

We have returned from the Summer break and are now settling down to focus and work hard.

Our aim is to listen well and try our best.

We will be working as a team as together we achieve more.

We will develop our Christian Values and apply these in all we do.

Thank you.

back to school

Competition time!

Mrs Gough’s and Mrs Hopkinson’s classes were representing school in the multi-skills competition at Netherwood Academy, the event consists of various sporting activities including running, throwing and jumping. Another stunning performance from our pupils  including a first place. Thank you everyone for your efforts, Brierley School is building quite a reputation for its achievements on the sports’ field!

Some very exciting visitors!

Class MB had a visit from Cudworth Fire Service as part of their ‘On the Move’ topic.

Spring time!

Class MB have been looking after 5 caterpillars and watching them metamorphosize into butterflies. The children have been very patient  and we finally released them into our playground this morning. Up, up and away they flew!

If you go down to the woods today…….

Class MB had their school visit to Old Moor RSPB on Wednesday 18th May. The day included pond dipping, mini-beast hunting and bird watching. A fantastic learning experience for all involved!

Little green fingers!

Class MB are having fun in the sun gardening! They have been planting their runner and broad beans in our allotment area for our topic ‘It’s alive!’
