Friends of Brierley School quiz night

We recently hosted our very first function between school and the parish of Grimethorpe with Brierley. The event was full and everyone enjoyed the challenge of testing their general knowledge. A special thank you to Mrs Harding, Mrs Cooper, Mrs Boycott-Law and Mrs Barran for their hard work in making the night a success. We raised additional funds to spend on the children and, of course, the pie and peas went down a treat!

FOBS Minutes and Christmas Fair…

FOBS LogoDear Parents/Carers

It’s that time of year again!!!

Our annual Christmas Fair will be held on Friday 2nd December 2016. We would very much appreciate donations for our tombola stall, if you have unwanted gifts, unopened toiletries, bottles of wine etc they can be handed into school reception up to (and including) Wednesday 30th November.

Stalls can now be booked at a cost of £10 a table, anyone wishing to reserve a stall can click on the link or the image below, print and fill in the “Stall” slip and hand in to school reception and we will contact you to confirm.

We are also looking for volunteers to help out on the day, either in the afternoon of the fair to help set up or during the fair to help run stalls and refreshments. Please fill in the “Volunteer” slip below to reception if you are able to help out.

Many thanks for your support.

A well deserved winner!

FOBS LogoOur Friends of Brierley School group were really pleased with the quality of entries in their ‘Design a Logo Competition’, some outstanding designs made it difficult to chose a winner but after much thought and deliberation they were pleased to announce that this striking yellow logo would be chosen. “Whilst reflecting part of the school logo it also had something different and eye-catching about it,” remarked one of our mums. Well done everyone and thank you for your entries, we are sure that you will like our chosen design!xxxx

Christmas Fair

Screen Shot 2015-11-11 at 18.15.13The Friends of Brierley School are busy preparing for the Christmas Fair, which will take place on Friday November 27th.

We would like to thank everyone for the fantastic response to our chocolate appeal and the many raffle prizes that have been already given.

Ideally we would welcome more raffle prizes if anyone is able to help, eg unwanted gifts or a local business who would like to contribute.

Remember all of the funds raised are for the children of Brierley School.
