Vacancy : Sports Leader

Grade 3 – actual salary £7574 to £8021

Required from 19th  February  2018 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

20  hours per week

Monday to Friday
(12.00pm – 4.00pm)

We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and skilful Sports Leader who has experience of working with children and their families. 

The role of the Sports Leader will be to prepare and deliver sporting activities during lunchtime and after school for all of our primary phase pupils. Brierley has a strong reputation for participating in inter-school competitions alongside our partner ‘Team Activ’ and the successful candidate will continue to facilitate these events and seek ways to further develop the sporting opportunities for our pupils.

If you have the appropriate skills, qualities, experience and commitment we would really like to hear from you.

You will need to demonstrate that you:

  • have a minimum of 5 GCSE including Maths and English, or equivalent.
  •  a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline
  • have high expectations and belief in every child’s potential
  • have the desire to become part of a hard working team
  • experience within the field of education or the voluntary sector.
  •  have effective communication and organisational skills to work alongside our families and sports agencies
