School History
The
present school was opened at Easter 1981. It is of modern design
and situated within its own grounds. A newly built classroom in
July 2003 extended the premises to seven classrooms. The classrooms
have been built around the main hall which is used for assembly,
P.E. and a dining room. Each classroom base is serviced by toilets,
washbasins and cloakroom areas as well as having its own entrance.
Four of the classrooms are linked together to form working areas
for art and other practical activities.
In the summer of 2005 a computer suite was completed.
This dedicated IT resource has twenty state of the art computers
and an interactive whiteboard.
We have three playground areas and a large playing
field. There is also an environmental site to one side of the school,
a “trim-trail” and an attractive garden area. We are
situated behind our church of St. Paul’s which provides further
learning stimuli.
Now in 2010 we are writing more school history
with the extension of some of the classroom areas, providing us
with more space to serve the childrens educational needs.
