Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

'The Church of England has set out a bold Church of England Vision for Education that is deeply Christian, serving the common good. Our purpose in education is to enable the children, young people and communities we serve to flourish as they experience education for wisdom, hope, community
and dignity and discover life in all its fullness which Jesus offers.'

(Nigel Genders, SIAMS, An Evaluation Schedule for Schools and Inspectors, 2018)

Our school was last inspected in 2013. The inspection stated, 'Brierley Church of England  Primary School is an outstanding school that truly reflects its Christian foundation. Its key values of thankfulness, friendship, trust, endurance and forgiveness are clearly rooted in a strong Christian tradition which is at the heart of the school. The Christian ethos permeates all of school life and is especially seen in the strong mutual respect between staff and pupils and the responsibility they have for the care of each other.'
