Welcome to the Summer Term

22nd April 2020
I hope you all had a restful Easter break and welcome to our very first remote summer term!
We’ve all had to adapt to new ways of working, so I wanted to take the opportunity to say what an amazing job you’re doing supporting your child’s wellbeing and learning during this time.
It’s definitely been a strange and challenging time, so it’s ok if you and your child feel wobbly and worried at the moment. We’re here for you every step of the way as we figure this all out together. Remember, if you have any concerns about helping your child learn or you need any other support from the school, please let us know by calling the office on 01226 711332 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We miss the children very much, but we must follow the government’s guidance to keep everyone in our community safe, so, we’re carrying on by providing childcare only for our most vulnerable children and those children who cannot stay at home because they have a parent who is a critical worker and there is absolutely no one else to take care of them. Please remember, your child is safer at home if there is someone to look after them.
Just because we’re not all in the same building though, doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun together! Your children will have lots of activities they can get stuck into over the summer term – so keep a close eye on our school website, clicking on the class pages. We also provide a learning pack which is ready to collect each Monday at the front entrance of school. If you are experiencing issues with online learning, please get in touch.
We would love to see some of the work your children are doing at home so please feel free to send pictures in via email. In the title box, please remember to write for the attention of your child’s class teacher so it reaches the correct person.
Thank you for answering your phones when we ring, it’s lovely to be able to speak with you and we’ll continue calling and updating you as the closure continues.
We are here if you need us so please don’t struggle alone. If you are worried, have financial concerns or just have a question, please contact us or go to our website on the coronavirus page as we post on there regularly.
We can’t say yet when we’ll be able to open the school fully, but rest assured that we’ll continue doing our utmost to keep your child learning and our school community connected.
