Take a look at what we will be covering in Summer 1. 

We are Mathematicians!

In Maths, we will continue to look at mastery number, fluent in 5 and continue to grow our confidence in our 2,3,5 and 10 times table. We will be focussing on division, shapes and value of money. 

We are Creative Writers!

We enjoyed reading our class text on The Wolf Secret last half term. In Summer 1 we will be focussing on spoken words of The Magic Pencil.

With our SATS approaching, we will focussing on spellings, punctuation and Grammar. 

We are Scientists!

In Science, Class Armitage will be learning about Materials and Matters. Our focus will be on discovering the use of materials and their properties and investigating why inventors think carefully about which materials to utilise in their inventions.

We are Geographers!

We will be learning about Northern Europe. We will be exploring the different aspects of Northern Europe including the climate and identifying the physical and human features. 

Christian Value of Endurance and Hope.

We will be learning about endurance and hope and the importance of implementing the Christian values into our every day life. 

Religious Education

We will be exploring salvation and Islam.

We are Historians!

Class Armitage will be learning about powerful voices. We will be learning about some significant figures from History who made positive impact. We will be looking at Gandhi, Greta Thunberg, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.

We are Artists!

Class Armitage will be focussing on history painting in Art. Our key focus will be to understand Picasso painted many pictures of the Mintaur.Class Armitage will follow up with drawing their own Mintaur using chalk and charcoal.

We are Musicians!

As musicians, Class Armitage will be recognising and learning different sounds, beats and rhythms.
