Attendance
Mrs Holroyd is your point of contact if you need to discuss attendance.
Our school complies with the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Code of Conduct for the issuing of penalty notices to parents for unauthorised pupil absence from school.
The DfE has published 'Working Together to Improve School Attendance' which the school also adheres to. Please see the document attached.
For further information regarding attendance, please telephone the school office on 01226 711332

Our Attendance Initiatives
We work very closely with the Education Welfare Service whose role is to promote attendance in schools.
Each week, children who come to school every day and on time will go into our prize draw where they will be able to choose something they want from our selection of goodies.
At the end of each half term, the class with the highest attendance will be given a party – just for them! This will take place one afternoon towards the end of every half term.
At the end of the school year, we are hosting an event that will celebrate good attendance and we hope every child will be able to join in.
If your child does not have a single day off all year, they will also receive a 100% trophy and book token.
As you can imagine, the children are very excited about all the rewards we are offering, so please help us and get as many children into school as possible, enjoying these treats.
