Class Donaldson- Reception 2025 - 2026

Welcome to Brierley School and to Class Donaldson! 

We hope you have had a great half term!

Our topic for Autumn 2 is Transport from the past and present. Children will be exposed to different types of transport and why we need to transport people and things around the world. Children will think about how people travel in different countries and learn about Japanese bullet trains, Thai tuk-tuks and Venetian gondolas.

Children will then look at transport from the past they learn about George Stephenson and his steam train, ‘The Rocket’. They will know that a long time ago trains used steam power.
