Collective Worship
Daily collective worship is based on the school’s Christian Values and world faiths, whilst incorporating key events within the religious calendar.
Our school vision features heavily in every act of collective worship, as does our school prayer, written by the children of Brierley.
Collective worship is designed to enable pupils and adults to flourish spiritually, emotionally and morally.
Children develop a broad and balanced understanding of faith, along with tolerance and understanding, and staff, parents and visitors are welcomed to share in and contribute to worship as part of our school community.
We have specific areas in school designed to promote prayer and reflection for children and adults alike.

Our Christian Vision
At Brierley, God guides us as one family.
We learn, grow, and shine together in our community,
Nurturing hope, resilience, aspiration and forgiveness
Everyone is loved, celebrated, and supported to flourish.
Living God’s love through our words, actions,
And journey beyond our school,
Following the example of Jesus.
Though we are many, we are one body,
Together we learn and grow.

Christian Values
Our Christian Values are rooted in theological teaching and, through the Bible, we learn how to live these values out in our everyday lives.
Community - We are one family. We include everyone, care for each other, and work together.
Love - We show love in all we do. We are kind, caring, and respectful, just like Jesus.
Hope - We believe and trust in God. We look forward with hope and know good things can happen
Resilience - We keep going. We stay strong and try again, even when things are difficult.
Aspiration - We aim high and shine. We use our gifts and always try our best.
Forgiveness - We forgive and make things right. We say sorry, forgive others, and start again.
Our Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for our school
Where we are one family.
Help us to learn, grow, and shine together.
Fill us with hope, strength, and big dreams.
Help us to love, support and forgive one another,
Showing your love in all we say and do.
Though we are many, we are one body,
Together we learn and grow.
Amen.
