Class Murphy - Nursery 2026 - 2027

Welcome to Brierley School and to Class Murphy!

Welcome to the Brierley family! We are so excited to welcome you all to our nursery and cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you.

Our brilliant topic for Autumn 1 is ‘All About Me!’ Over the next few weeks, the children will have plenty of hands-on opportunities to explore who they are. We will kick off by learning about our bodies, our different body parts, and all the amazing things they can do.

From there, we will explore our families and look at how we grow and change over time. Next, we will turn our focus to the world right outside our doors, learning about where we live and our local Brierley area. To tie it all together, we will discover the vital roles of the wonderful people who help us in our local community and see how they care for others. Finally, before we break up, we will explore the changing seasons, the autumn weather, and celebrate the Harvest Festival.

It promises to be a fantastic, fun-filled half term of discovery, learning, and celebrating our wonderful community!

"Let’s fill this year with new adventures, big smiles, and endless wonder! Take a look at our half-termly newsletter below to see what we will be up to."
